Welcome to Tripwyze. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (or have a parent or guardian's permission).
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. If you add information about other people, including children you travel with, you confirm you are entitled to share it.
2. AI disclaimer and accuracy of information
Tripwyze uses artificial intelligence (models provided by Google) to generate travel itineraries, suggestions, and answers.
- No guarantee of accuracy: AI output can be incorrect or outdated. Itineraries, prices, operating hours, flight details, and availability shown in Tripwyze may be inaccurate.
- Your responsibility: verify all information directly with travel providers (airlines, hotels, transport services) before making financial commitments. Tripwyze is not liable for missed flights, closed attractions, or losses resulting from reliance on generated or third-party data.
- Not professional advice: nothing in the Service is medical, legal, financial, or immigration advice, including visa and passport guidance.
3. Free features, AI passes, and subscriptions
- Creating trips and planning manually is free. AI features are unlocked per trip using free AI passes included with your account, or without limit through a paid subscription.
- Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel.
- Cancellation: cancel any time from your profile ("Manage subscription"). Access continues through the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled at the sole discretion of Tripwyze, except where required by law.
- We may change pricing or plan features with notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
4. Your content
- You keep ownership of the content you add (itineraries, notes, photos, and other trip content). You grant Tripwyze a limited license to host, process, and display that content in order to run the Service, including showing trip content to the other members of that trip.
- You are responsible for what you upload. Do not add content you have no right to share, or content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes others' rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm others;
- probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt the Service, or access other users' data;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or the AI assistant's safeguards, or use the AI features for purposes unrelated to travel planning;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the software;
- resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers, and your use of those features is also subject to their terms:
- Google Maps / Places: location features are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.
- Travel data: flight and hotel search and booking via Duffel, live flight status via AeroDataBox, weather via OpenWeatherMap. This data is provided as-is by those services.
- Payments: Stripe. Email: Resend. Hosting and storage: Supabase, Vercel, Google Cloud, Upstash. Imagery: Unsplash, used under the Unsplash License.
Bookings you make with airlines, hotels, or other providers are contracts between you and that provider. Tripwyze is not a party to them.
7. Intellectual property
The Service and its original content (excluding user content and third-party data) remain the exclusive property of Tripwyze.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripwyze shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from:
- your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service;
- any inaccuracies in AI-generated or third-party travel data;
- any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Austin, Texas.
10. Changes to terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect, by email or in the app. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
